The red pill has been criticized for years. Lately it looks like it’s being criticized more - with the Trads, debate bro’s and even the Government putting their focus on our little band of guys swapping notes to improve their relationships with women.
Rule zero: ‘TRP's mission is to increase men's sexual power and options. Anyone who does not share that goal will be banned the instant we detect them.’
That’s it and that’s all it will ever be.
Yet here we are, being put under the loop of every person and institution under the sun who wants to have their pockets filled with that sweet, sweet engagement money or are out of ideas for content.
Take it seriously not literally
Hyperbolic: Relating to, or marked by language that exaggerates or overstates the truth
Every unhappy wife is a rape victim - Archwinger
How To Get Laid Like A Warlord - MikeHaines
Iron Rule #2: NEVER, under pain of death, honestly or dishonestly reveal the number of women you’ve slept with or explain any detail of your sexual experiences with them to a current lover. - Rollo Tomassi
Reading these titles and descriptions, you might see some exaggerations or usage of words that will cause offense. And that’s the point.
Men no longer have a space where they can openly use foul language and exaggerate for its own sake. That’s why it happens so often in titles and descriptions of TRP. Deep down it resonates with men who can ponder, and repels bitchy men and women who we wouldn’t want in this space anyway.
Milo understood this with his article ‘Birth Control Makes Women Unattractive And Crazy.’ It caught eyes and it rattled people to the point where even Hillary Clinton used it in her speech to discredit Trump supporters.
Crass language resonates with men because men are being so tone policed into walking on eggshells with everything they say, that even a hint of crassness makes them feel just that little bit more understood.
If you’re a guy you probably know what I’m talking about. You can’t even make a joke about mental issues or sexual preference before being sent to the principal (HR), because of a complaint the over sensitive Karen, that just happened to be sitting next to you - or worse, the soft spoken ally Kevin - filed against you.
There is a craving for dark humor and crass language. The posters on the TRP forum knew this and made solid use of it. This didn't mean you couldn’t take it seriously. Once intrigued by the title, those able to see past the hyperbole would read further along to get to the tool being discussed.
Women, the most responsible teenager in the household
Of course women grow past the teenage stage, but because they’re emotional creatures it’s better to approach them from the mental model they never used, instead of trying to reason with her like a man and ending up wanting to shoulder throw her through the drywall 'cause she called you a poopy head.
Would you shoulder throw a teenager or child through the drywall? Of course not.
Would you try to reason with it? Of course not.
You see it for what it is - an emotional tantrum - and will treat it as such.
But where are you going to find such a crass but accurate description other than in TRP?
Nowhere.
That’s where.
Where can a guy who is in the middle of his anger phase go just to find someone who won’t judge him for that anger, or at least speaks a language that resonates with that anger?
Nowhere.
That’s where.
Everyone’s a critic
A disingenuousness comes from within criticizers of TRP. They take every little thing that’s been written as literally as possible to try and disprove anything TRP has to offer.
‘You can’t ACTUALLY get laid like a warlord! We don’t have warlords anymore’
‘A Beginner's Guide to Managing Your Bitches! You view women as objects and don’t value them!’
‘Rollo does deal in prescriptions when he says ‘The quickest way to become a high value man is to get a vasectomy!’ No, I haven’t read the full essay! That sentence says it all!’
They act just as emotionally, and could be treated accordingly.
Debate me, bro!
As certain talking points within TRP become more popular, it’s no surprise it’s also getting disagreed with more by anyone who wants to make their opinion heard.
