a man with status surrounded by cars, women and cash in black and white ink and gouache style

I’d been wondering a lot these days about the holy trinity of looks, money, and game, because I wasn’t able to place “status” anywhere in that trifecta. Some say status is game, since game requires charisma to gain status, but with status often comes money. One could say status is an achievement you unlock once you’ve mastered game and money; while looks can help with status, it’s not a requirement.

In this context, looks means your physical appearance, money refers to how much money you have, and game stands foryour ability to be charming, witty, and calm, and to get women to like you in a romantic fashion.

Status is whether people perceive you as high value or not. However, the number of people who view you as high value is limited to the context in which you’ve achieved status; it’s situational and geographical, just like the sexual marketplace.

Think about a bartender: he’s king behind the bar in a busy club, but during the day he’s probably a nobody. He might have amassed a large Instagram following and gets cheered on during work hours, but the clerk at the supermarket still views him as an ordinary customer who needs to pay for his groceries. The clerk might recognize him if she’s younger and part of his scene, but in general he won’t mean shit.

His status is limited to the bar scene, and maybe only that specific bar. It’s his blue ocean, so to speak.
