Depression Is A Choice
Andrew Tate once said that depression doesn’t exist and the internet lost its mind. Women were screaming in disbelief, and a large group of men was right behind them to defend their honor. Because how dare any man point out a mental perception of the world might be an illusion?
You can’t help it, you’re sad. It’s the chemicals in your brain that make you have a negative outlook. Don’t worry about having a carb-heavy, sugar-induced diet and that the only steps you do during the day are from the bed to the fridge to the bathroom and back. None of it has to do with your behavior. Just take the pills the doctor prescribed to you and don’t listen to anyone telling you physical activity will alter your hormone chemistry.
I’m being facetious. There is an actual known brain defect that is categorized as depression. But let’s be honest here, a majority of people don’t suffer from that and choose to be miserable. And since I tend to deal in generalizations, Tate is right.
Depression isn’t real.
But since it isn’t real, how do you deal with negative emotions that influence your quality of life on a day-to-day basis?
Each and every one of us has struggles we go through on a daily basis. Some worse than others, others not as bad as some. But they are struggles nonetheless. And don’t be too quick to judge a man on his actions and demeanor until you’ve walked a day in his shoes.
As for me, what’s my experience?
